“Grimm” and the Garden of Eden!

We just released another video in a series we’re calling “Media Correct”.  This is where we used a clip from a secular program that has spiritual or biblical implications.  In number 2 we used a TV commercial for the insurance company, Allstate.  In the commercial they depicted the Garden of Eden as well as the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.  On the tree was an apple and we discussed how we know that isn’t accurate.
The point was to use what we see in the culture to speak the truth about what the Bible really teaches.  I just feel like if you’re going to mock the Bible, mock what it really teaches and not some caricature or “straw-man”.
Guess what, I found another example of the exact same misrepresentation an a pretty popular TV show.  On March 11, 2016 the TV show Grimm on the episode entitle “Into the Schwarzwald” we hear the following:
Monroe:  It’s a stick??
Hank:  Looks like a stick!
Sergeant Wu:  A really old stick!
Rosalee:  It can’t be just a stick!
Nick:  Well, that’s what it looks like.
Monroe:  They wouldn’t have buried a stick, unless they were some kind of dog Wesen.
Hank:  Maybe it’s some kind of important stick that belongs to a bigger piece of wood that means something to somebody.
Sergeant Wu:  Well, if it was a “stickmata”.  Sorry, that was a reach.
Rosalee:  Maybe it’s a something like a stick from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Hank:  You’re talking about the tree that Eve picked the apple from in the Garden of Eden?
 
There you go, another misrepresentation of the fruit in the Garden of Eden.  So, what was the fruit?  We already answered that in the Media Correct: Mayhem! Check it out if you missed it!
