Archaeology and the Bible
The field of Biblical Archaeology is one of the most profound areas of research with far-reaching truths that have helped shape our understanding of how accurate the Bible is as a book of historical accounts. As Nelson Glueck states, “It may be stated categorically that no archaeological discovery has ever controverted a biblical reference.” So much so that the famed, Sir William F. Albright, went from being a skeptic of the accuracy of the gospel accounts to becoming the “Father of Biblical Archaeology” because of the amount of evidence he found at locations throughout the Holy Lands. In this talk we will take a look at some of the things Albright discovered, as well as many of the other key discoveries that have transformed our understanding of the value of the Bible in regard to historical research.
